Giant logs surround you in this beautiful Northwoods cabin. A large stone fireplace warms the living room with windows showing the new deck that overlooks the lake. Granite counters and hardwood floors on the main level bring a rustic luxury to the cabin. On the main floor is the living room, dining room, one bathroom, and a bedroom with a queen bed. Upstairs is an open loft with 2 futons that sleep a total of 4 people. There are large bedrooms on either side of the loft. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk bed along with the master bath. On the opposite side of the loft is the third bedroom with another queen bed and another bunk bed. Off of the loft is a screened porch that overlooks the large front yard. From the living room you can walk onto the huge deck with all the outdoor furniture you will need; including a gas fire table. From this deck is a 3 season room to keep the bugs off of you. The front yard is massive with lots of room for any yard games you bring up. There is a fire pit with wood supplied for guests. A gradual hill leads to a flight of stairs down to the docks. There are 2 docks that form a U shape overhanging the water. The docks are wide enough to sit 2 people on the end with their fishing poles and a cooler in between. The lake is deep off the ends of the docks making them great for swimming. There is also a pontoon for rent that has a 12 person capacity. The pontoon will have 12 adult life jackets and everything else needed to make the boat lake legal. All furniture in the pontoon is new in 2018, along with a brand new 50 HP Honda four stroke motor for trouble free boating. The pontoon is rented by the week in the summer for $900 and off season is rented for a 3 day minimum at $150 per day. It will be rented to guests first but if guests do not choose to rent, it will be rented to the public.

If you are an outdoor adventurer you will find numerous trails for hiking, biking, ATV, skiing, snowshoes…you name it! Maybe you are just out on an excursion to learn about the creatures great and small that inhabit our woods? Was it the “lure” of fishing that drew you here? Or a nap during the middle of the day (yes, please)! A cool lake on a hot summer day? Check. Whatever you want, you are sure to find it in our tranquil forests and lakes. We have TONS of local history to learn about too…think Al Capone and the Chicagoland gangsters, original timber loggers, and more. About the cabin: At just under 700 square feet our cabin sleeps 4 (maximum of 3 adults) in the following suggested combinations: a small family, a few friends on a fun excursion or a couple that’s just looking to get away for awhile. The floor plan is very open with sleeping spaces on the main floor including a bedroom area with a queen bed and privacy screen plus a sofa sleeper with nice air mattress. The loft has 2 twin beds and room on either side for an air mattress. The main living space has a cozy reading nook with an incredible view of the lake! There is an adjustable television. We have DirecTV for a large assortment of programs. We use Verizon for our cell phones and it works here. There is no wifi. This is our place to unplug and we hope it will be that for you too! The bathroom has a shower and a modern vanity plus linen cabinet. There is ample room to gather for food and fun around the kitchen island/bar but we always recommend the lakeside patio. We have stocked the kitchen with just about anything you might need. You can quickly step out onto a small deck to check your grilling! From the small deck walk down just a few steps to what we feel is one of the best features of our cabin: the patio sitting right at the water’s edge with a birds-eye view of all that this special location offers! With no development on the other side of the lake across from us you can really appreciate the dark southern sky. Watch for the Milky Way glittering brightly and the occasional shooting star! At night the muskrats swim back and forth going about their business. With any luck you will experience the big, beautiful moon shining over the water – the frequent occurrence that named our cabin for us. There’s a fire pit with provided starter wood along with hot dog/marshmallow forks for that essential campfire roast. Enjoy a nice glide along the water with the 2 kayaks. There is a jet-ski lift and space at the dock for your boat. Tomahawk Scout Reservation was established in 1953, and since then has grown to include three separate Boy Scout camps, Sioux, Chippewa, and White Pine, and a second year Webelos camp, Navajo. It has 3,300 acres of woods with campsites across 15 miles of Long Lake shoreline. The beauty of this is that the shoreline is untouched except for an occasional view of a campsite or the Boy Scout water facility that is cool to view as you pass by on boat. Our cabin is on Gruenhagen Bay and beyond the water is Tomahawk land so your views are lake and forest. In the distance. . This 3 BR, 2 bath cabin is beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home. The cabin is located on LONG LAKE, which is a 3,300 acre lake; the largest in Washburn County. It is known for its bass and pan-fish, as well as the ever elusive, walleye. Since the Boy Scouts of America own 10-15 miles of shoreline that is undeveloped, there is a private, wilderness feeling about that part of the lake. On the other hand, visitors to the lake can enjoy the convenience of 2 marinas and several bar/restaurants along the developed side of the lake. One of our favorite activities is taking a leisurely boat ride down to one of the restaurants for lunch or supper. The lake is 18 miles long with 99 miles of shoreline, so it could take several days to explore it all! This cabin is located on the large north bay of Long Lake which is great for water skiing, tubing and fishing. As you travel south on the lake you can enjoy the scenery of the Boy Scouts land and more good fishing areas, or stop by the sand bar for a game of volleyball. Our cabin is one of 5 cabins in a private association called Whispering Pines, that at one time, was a traditional "mom and pop" resort. The nearly 2 acres of grounds are well maintained and the property has over 180 feet of beautiful shoreline with a nice gravel-bottom swimming area. The grounds and shoreline are shared with the 4 other cabins, but this is the only cabin within the group that is available for rent, so it may be very quiet during your rental week. You enjoy all the amenities at Whispering Pines, including a fish-cleaning house with running water and a refrigerator for your bait. There's a basketball hoop for shooting baskets, horse shoe pits, a campfire ring overlooking the lake, a second campfire ring right next to the cabin, and a wonderful shoreline deck that's perfect for early morning coffee or for watching the kids swim. There is a large guest dock that you may use to moor your boat. You will enjoy seeing a variety of wildlife; eagles, osprey and loons are common on the lake. A bait shop (and much more) is located just down the road, and Butternut Hills Golf Course is only 3 miles away. The town of Stone Lake is 6 miles east of the cabin with shops, restaurants, and wine shop. The conveniences found in HAYWARD, SPOONER, AND RICE LAKE, are all less than 30 minutes away by car. Located on Mud Lake, off of Long Lake in Birchwood, Wisconsin This beautifully decorated 3,000 square foot lake home is located on 2.5 acres of woods. The property is in Washburn County on Mud Lake and is accessible to Long Lake. The town is Birchwood and is approximately 10 minutes away. You can travel to Hayward or Rice Lake in around 30 minutes, either direction. Washburn County Forest is within walking distance. There you can enjoy ATV trails, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hiking, biking, camping, hunting, fishing and wildlife. From the 3rd week of April into the 2nd week of May, Crappie fishing is normally good right off our dock. We typically limit out every day, but every fisher person is different and there's no guarantee. But you should be pleasantly surprised. Good fishing continues well into June. You should see Lola's and Curt's LARGE - Large Mouth Bass and stringer of Crappies mounted on our living room wall. In December, get in the holiday spirit with all its decorations at Lola's. If there's some white stuff and if you have a snow mobile, be sure to bring it. There's lots of trails close by. Newly available: 21' Sun Tracker pontoon, with 60 horse, 4 stroke engine, includes portable toilet and has a bimini top. If interested, please mention when contacting us, so we can assure usage. You're going to love this place. Less than 4 miles from the sweet town of Stone Lake (coffee shop, fun bars, bait, ice cream, and a cool hardware store) and only 18 miles south of Hayward, it's ideally situated. You'll find it's close to everything you want to see and do, but completely off the beaten path. Yes, it's a cabin--complete with knotty pine and fireplaces--but you won't be roughing it. Great beds with lovely linens, wonderful spaces for gathering, and a well-equipped kitchen await you. We say it has 4+ bedrooms because there are four true bedrooms (you know, with doors) and also a Bunk Room in the loft with 4 Twins. Two bedrooms are found on the main floor, making it a great set-up for multi-generational groups. One bedroom is in the bright, sunny lower level. And the most peaceful, private bedroom/bath of all is in the Guest House. It's just 20 paces from the cabin--but a world away, if you love a bit more privacy. Each of the 3 bathrooms is stocked with soap and shampoo, plenty of towels, and a hair dryer. We love to cook, so you'll find the drawers full of utensils, the cupboards full of dishes and spices (and some basic ingredients) and a nice assortment of pots and pans and small appliances. If cooking isn't your thing, take-out in front of the fire works great, too. Each level has a Sonos One speaker (Alexa-enabled) so you can play just the right background music as soon as you put down your bags. In the walk-out lower level, you'll find a dry bar, game table, and an array of board games. We have great wifi and a screen for Netflix and DVDs--but absolutely no cable or dish network, so NO TV. You ARE at the cabin, after all. No matter what your plans are, you'll appreciate the full-sized washer and dryer in the lower level. Because life invariably gets messy when you are having fun. While the cabin is comfortable, it is not particularly handicap accessible. We have stairs inside the cabin (bedrooms on three separate floors), stairs to enter the cabin, and also a flight of outdoor stairs from the cabin down to the lake. Bathrooms are spacious and well-equipped, but do not have grab bars. We want you to have an amazing time at the cabin, but are strict about the rules: --No loud parties. We love, love, love our neighbors and we want you to love them, too. A good rule of thumb is to quiet down by 10 pm. --Absolutely no smoking in the cabin or on the screen porch or on the decks. If you must smoke, take it outside and please don't drop your butts on the ground. --We must say no to any and all pet visitors. We love pets, but have some pretty serious allergies in our family. --Our insurance requires that we only enter into rental agreements with adults 25+. Our cabin in the north woods is perfect for a family get away. It has all the conveniences of home and the extras you want on vacation. The cabin has three bedrooms with four queen beds and a bunk house just 30 feet from the cabin which is a single room with queen bed. The cabin has a huge kitchen which is a great place for everyone to congregate. This place is all about fun. We have a full sized sand volleyball court, pool table, Foosball table, two kayaks, WiFi, board games, grill, fire pit and of course one of the most beautiful lakes in the north woods. Our waterfront is zero entry and no lily pads, great for kids. The lake offers class A musky fishing as well as walleye, crappie, large and small mouth bass, sunfish and Pike. The historic Carriage House is part of the Stout Farm built in the early 1900s. It used to house some of the earliest automobiles ever built, with chauffeur's living quarters above the stalls. It has since been turned into a family home and is available for vacation rental. It is located on beautiful Red Cedar Lake just 5 miles south of Birchwood and 14 miles northeast of Rice Lake. This private home is just 50 feet from the waters edge with a wide covered walkway leading you from the front door, right down to the water with a large gazebo at the end for dining or just sitting and relaxing complete with table, chairs and gas grill. The dock is accessed directly from the gazebo, can hold two boats and has a swim ladder. The Boat landing is nearby. The gazebo has a railing and gate. Year-round cabin available for weekly and daily rentals. The cabin is completely inspected and licensed through Barron County. The cabin is 2000 sq. feet with breath taking views of the lake allowing you to watch the fish jump and the soaring eagles above. The cabin has 4 bedrooms, a spacious loft, 2 bathrooms, family room, living room with a large wood-burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings, full kitchen including hickory cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and tiled floor. Outside the cabin is a deck low to the ground with patio furniture and a gas grill. We also have a 27 x14 foot overhang/wrap around deck. You can enjoy making smores over the fire pit, watch boats pass by, listen to music and lounge in the adirondack chairs. The cabin is located in the bay on the east shore of Red Cedar Lake with 1000 plus feet of natural wildlife refuge on the east side. Red cedar, an 1820 acre spring fed lake, is connected to Hemlock Lake and Balsam Lake adding 800 plus additional acres. Several unique smaller islands dot this lake. One larger island allows you to park your boat, swim and enjoy a nature walk. Pristine water is perfect for fishing, boating, tubing, skiing, kayaking, canoeing, jet skiing and of course swimming. This chain of lakes is considered premium water. Directly across the bay from the cabin sits the historical Tagalong Golf Resort. You can boat there or drive a 1/4 mile to enjoy a round of golf or dinning at the Restaurant. The Pumphouse located lakeside, serves drinks, food and presents live entertainment on select weekends, plenty of docks serve to tie up a boat. The town of Birchwood is just 3 miles from the cabin and offers several local establishments for dining. Just down the road you can get on the Tuscobia Trail to enjoy four wheeling and snowmobiling all day long.
